Hey all, I took a break from Malkin development to revisit my NWN2 mod Harp & Chrysanthemum. I released it almost exactly 13 years ago and decided I'd update it and play around in the NWN2 toolset for the first time in a long time. Here's the link to the update:

https://neverwintervault.org/project/nw ... ysanthemum

And here's what I changed:

1.013: 13th Anniversary Update
-Expanded Vroman romance
-Several items added to Asterchord’s shop
-One new drink added to the Sword and Dragon’s menu
-Many dialog revisions for style and plot consistency
-Balance adjustments made to final battle
-Autosave added to moment before final battle
-ga_unfreeze added to dryad conversation end nodes
-3 individual torches added to the chest near Manfred’s grave
-Sarah’s waypoints have been adjusted
-ga_force_rest replaces custom resting script at the inn; XP awards for not resting outside inn still work
-Fixed crash involving the Flame Stone dialog
-Changed directional orientation of Northdark forest maps
-Fixed a bug where Hamfast would duplicate himself in Drawn Swords late game
-Made feats compatible with the SoZ 2DA; SoZ feats should work properly now
-Changed Readme documentation
-Removed .exe installation option

****

Returning to the toolset was easy, both because I'd spent so much time in it and because IceBlink's similarities made it easy. Returning to the game itself for testing etc. was a little harder--graphics looked better than I thought they might after 13 years, but I found I had to relearn some of the quirks of the combat and camera.

That sounds great! We (the kids and I) have been playing a bit of NWN2 off and on over the past few months. It has been weird trying to find the camera setup that I used to like. We have been playing mostly through the OC, but I'll need to give the updated H&C a go as well. I think my kids enjoy making characters more than anything else as they seem to play for a bit and then start over trying to make different characters

Sounds like they play games exactly the way I do! I had the same problem with the camera, and I'm still not convinced I'm doing it the way I used to.
