Re: Problem and solution to DoConvo OnEndCombatIBS

All my combats have an intro dialog and an end dialog, and the OnEndCombatScript+doConvo combo has always worked for me. Combat is always initiated via the gaDoEncounterByTag script attached to the end node of a dialog, and the preliminary conversation itself always initiated via trigger. Early on I...

Re: Slowdive's Little Daily Blog

Just wanted to check in and say hey! Also, I haven't had a crash in a while -- I think whatever issues Windows 11 was causing might have been fixed by updates. (I hope that's the case anyway!)

Re: sound/Windows 11 instability?

Sounds great! Thanks. I hope to plug away at Malkin a little bit more this semester (I hope to have an extra day in my schedule on which to do so). I'd be happy to test any new options.

Re: sound/Windows 11 instability?

Hey, reporting back several months later! I tested IB Basic and had no problems. I'm still getting crashes at seemingly random times in Malkin, usually not long into the game. The crash window says something along the lines of not being able to divide by 0. *However*, if I run the same version of Ma...

Re: sound/Windows 11 instability?

Interesting! I also deleted the error log and am going to test with it -- I wonder if its being too big could also be a factor. I'll test more and let you know. Is there a way to integrate an open source audio system I wonder?

sound/Windows 11 instability?

Hey all, it's been awhile! I've dipped back into testing Malkin in my very limited spare time -- it's been a rough semester. I seem to be getting random crashes while playing, and I'm not sure what to attribute them to, but the error log suggests it's audio-related (the only errors that get logged a...

Re: IB Features/Bugs Tracking List

I've discovered a bug with two-weapon fighting. If a weapon requires two hands and is equipped in the main hand, the engine keeps the player from equipping a weapon in the off hand. That's as it should be. BUT, if the player equips a one-handed weapon in the main hand, they can equip a weapon requir...

Re: calendar/worldtime question/bug

Just did it -- and shifting the calendar to the same dey next week makes the starting date of the game August 5, which happens to be today's date! Quite a coincidence!

Re: calendar/worldtime question/bug

Ah, thanks Dorateen. Seems like the simplest solution is to move the timeline of Malkin forward to the beginning of August. Thanks!

calendar/worldtime question/bug

Hey all, I've been testing Malkin and have discovered something odd about the calendar. Malkin takes place over the course of seven days, July 26 - August 1. I've noticed that a few days are skipped! The calendar reliably jumps from Sunday, July 28 to Monday, August 1. Not sure how this might be fix...
