Some areas (interiors, mostly) in Malkin don't have time (i.e., each step takes 0 minutes). In these areas, removing effects doesn't seem to work. items resistances not working as intended
I've discovered that items granting resistance don't work on my main PC, though they kick in as normal for companion characters.

Very cool -- easy to see the overlap! I like how KotC renders the party. How much control do you have over the AI?

Re: targeting bug
Interesting about the larger creature bug. I may have some larger creatures, so I'll keep this limitation in mind.

Re: Hearkenwold
The amount of progress you've made and content you've produced is inspiring. I think straddling the two engines seems doable. I played Knights of the Chalice a while back and there are certainly some overlaps.

targeting bug
Just keeping a list of things I find :) ... This one isn't game-breaking either, but it's troublesome. I had it happen a few times and I didn't know what was up, but I'm pretty sure I understand what triggers it now. If you move the camera in manual camera mode and then target something with the mou...

Re: wave header corruption in combat
Cool cool, I'm more curious than anything. It's definitely not a major issue and doesn't seem to make anything unstable. I've been in the weeds with audio stuff lately -- trying to get all the tracks for Malkin to sound like they're part of the same world and balancing the sfx/music volumes -- so I ...

wave header corruption in combat
Nothing game-breaking (I think), but I've noticed that wave files play inconsistently in combat. Whenever they don't play, I get this error in the log: 7/27/2020 11:36:44 AM: System.InvalidOperationException: The wave header is corrupt. at System.Media.SoundPlayer.ValidateSoundData(Byte[] data) at S...

Re: Malkin
Thanks! Glad you liked the new/old song -- I was struck when I was mixing it to how the tone of the banjo seems identical to the tone in the H&C track. I set up a new little studio which has made recording things a lot easier -- I don't have to get everything out and plugged in etc., and the noi...

Re: Malkin
Hi all! Now that summer has officially started for me (it officially starts very late), I'm working on Malkin full time. This past week I accomplished more than I'd accomplished since March, including two new songs, a new quest chain, and a *lot* of new tiles for the wooded mountain region (the last...

Re: IB (pc only, testbed) Development updates
Awesome, many thanks! I just downloaded 195 and adjusted the settings successfully. I played a few minutes of Malkin and everything looked normal and didn't crash.

Re: IB (pc only, testbed) Development updates
@Zach: I made overgrowth and dynamic overlay in layers 4 and 5 optional now (incoming module setting). I hope next version will fix the issue for you. I did not have Malkin crashing though, it was more that some graphics became transparent when I moved closer (likely because they had been placed in...

Re: IB (pc only, testbed) Development updates
Hey Karl, glad to hear everything's good (though hectic). Thanks for looking into it -- but no rush! I can easily use 192 for now. If you want the most recent version let me know.
Slowdive -- working remotely is way more time-consuming than I thought it would be, are you finding it the same?

Hey there! I've downloaded the most recent version, and I can't get it to work -- maybe because I use layers 4 & 5 in all my maps.

I am feeling much better -- though who knows how long I'll be inside. Luckily I have making games and playing games to help keep me occupied. I completely agree that we need to be more prepared individually and globally for this kind of thing. Glad you like the art! One of the most rewarding things ...

Re: Malkin
Greetings from the NYC region. I'll be at home for the foreseeable future -- though these days the future feels far from foreseeable. The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of anxiety and frustration, not least because I had a 103 degree fever and cough right when Coronavirus started to hit New Yo...

Re: IB (pc only, testbed) Development updates
I am very excited about these new triggers. There are great options for varying combat already, but this will make combat design even richer -- No two combats need feel the same. I've been designing a lot of combats with a conquer victory condition and enough enemies to make elimination victory more...

Re: IB (pc only, testbed) Development updates
Edit: Speaking of time... RL is rather unpleasant right now here. A part of the owner/landlord familiy tries to legally force us out of our beloved, rent appartment. This makes me spend much time preparing for an upcoming legal battle as well as for studying the appartment/house market full force. ...

Re: IB (pc only, testbed) Development updates
The monster info system is great. I'd just put something far more clunky into Malkin to give players info about monsters in a battle, but this is way better. Is there any way modders could tweak the info here? I'd like to hide some of the info below "Type" (AI, onDeath script, etc.) from p...

What I'm working on now: 1. A conversation that fires/doesn't fire depending on time of day and location. The whole game takes place over the course of seven days, so I thought it'd be good to include a little reminder for players about the looming deadline -- and give a sense of setting. 2. Impleme...
